Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of NoFap Helper — also published as NoPorn — including the mobile application, our website at nofaphelper.martai.in, and every feature and service they provide. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to them. Please read them before you begin.

2.What the App Is

NoFap Helper is a digital wellbeing tool. It filters and blocks adult and harmful content across browsers, social platforms and other apps, helps you set schedules and limits, tracks your progress, and connects you with a community of people working towards the same goal.

3.What the App Is Not

The App is not a medical device, a diagnosis, a treatment or a substitute for professional care. Nothing in it is medical, psychological or clinical advice, and no feature, statistic or streak should be read as a health outcome. If you are struggling with compulsive behaviour, depression, anxiety or thoughts of self-harm, please speak to a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

We also make no promise that blocking is perfect. Content filtering is a difficult problem, platforms change constantly, and a determined user can defeat any filter. The App is a strong aid to a decision you have already made; it is not a guarantee.

4.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the App. By using it you confirm that you meet that requirement and that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

5.Your Account

You may use the App as a guest or with a Google account. You are responsible for the security of the device and the Google account you sign in with, and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

You agree to give accurate information, not to impersonate anyone, and not to create an account to evade a restriction or removal.

6.Accessibility Service and Device Permissions

The App requires Android’s Accessibility Service to work. It uses that permission only to:

• Read the current screen so harmful content can be detected
• Identify which app is in the foreground so your rules can be applied
• Navigate away from blocked content and show a block screen

The Accessibility Service is never used to capture, log or transmit what you read, type or browse. Screen content is analysed in memory and discarded. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is recorded when a block happens, and what is not.

Other permissions, including displaying over other apps, usage access, notifications and device administrator, are requested only for the protection features described in the App, and you may withdraw any of them in Android settings at any time — accepting that the related protection will then stop working.

7.Privacy and Your Data

We collect account details, progress data, community content, subscription status, protection activity and diagnostic information, as set out fully in our Privacy Policy. Everything we store is encrypted in transit and at rest, we do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Please read the Privacy Policy in full; by using the App you agree to the practices it describes.

8.Community Standards

The community room and the accountability features are shared spaces. By using them you agree to:

• Treat every member with respect and dignity
• Post nothing abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit
• Post no links to, or descriptions of, the content this App exists to block
• Not spam, flood, advertise or promote other products and services
• Not share the personal information of another member without their consent
• Not impersonate another member, a moderator or the NoFap Helper team
• Not use bots or automated tools to post
• Not encourage or facilitate anything illegal

Remember that the community room is public to its members. Anything you post there, including your display name and photo, can be seen by everyone in it.

9.Moderation and Enforcement

We moderate the community to keep it safe. Depending on what happened, we may remove a message, temporarily restrict your ability to post, suspend your account or remove it permanently. Restrictions are usually applied when several different members report the same account, and they escalate if the behaviour continues.

You can report any message from inside the App. We review reports and act on them at our discretion. We may act without prior notice where a delay would put members at risk, and we may act on repeated reports even where a single message would not have justified it.

10.Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the App
• Distribute modified versions of the App, or circumvent its licence checks
• Attempt to bypass, disable or tamper with the blocking, locking or reporting features
• Interfere with, overload or attack our servers or infrastructure
• Access another user’s account or data, or attempt to
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any law that applies to you

11.Premium Subscriptions

The App offers optional premium subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your card or payment details.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at purchase, until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in the Google Play subscriptions screen. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
• Prices, plans and promotional discounts may change. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and any discount applies only for the period stated at purchase.
• Premium features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the App develops.

12.Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policy, and are subject to its rules and timeframes. Where the law where you live gives you a statutory right of withdrawal or a right to a refund, that right applies and nothing in these Terms limits it. If something has gone wrong with a purchase, contact us and we will help you resolve it with Google Play.

13.Protection Locks and Cooldowns

Several features are designed to be difficult to switch off, because that is precisely what makes them work. Turning off a locked protection may require a waiting period before the change takes effect. This is intentional, you enabled it deliberately, and we will not remove it on request while it is running. Uninstalling the App removes every lock; nothing here can prevent that.

14.Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you write. By posting in the community or sending us feedback, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute that content inside the App, for the purpose of operating the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for moderation or legal reasons.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm that you have the right to post it.

15.Our Intellectual Property

The App, its name, logo, design, artwork, text and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App. They give you no other rights in it.

16.Third-Party Services

The App relies on services provided by others, including Google Play, Firebase, and optionally a DNS provider you choose to configure. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the service, and we are not responsible for how they operate. Links and content shared by other members are theirs, not ours, and we do not endorse them.

17.Availability and Changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the App at any time, and we may update, improve or remove features as the product develops. We will try to give notice of a significant change, but we cannot promise that the service will always be available or uninterrupted.

18.Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error free or uninterrupted, that every piece of harmful content will be detected, that no legitimate content will ever be blocked by mistake, or that the App will produce any particular result for you.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under a consumer law that cannot be excluded.

19.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App — including any failure to block content, any content that was blocked in error, and anything posted by another member.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten United States dollars.

20.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or content you posted.

21.Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, if your conduct harms other members or the service, or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply.

22.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the App changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top and publish the new version in the App and on our website. If a change is material we will tell you in the App before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

23.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, which we do not seek to remove.

24.Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the App, and replace any earlier version.
